I know, it's weird for the first NFL post to be Power Rankings for a regular season that is all but completed, but you have to start somewhere.
This is a project I started years ago at the old 87sportsfans blog. Basically, teams gain or lose points based on how many wins they have, their overall point differential, road wins, home losses, and the teams they beat with a record over .500.
Here's this week's breakdown:
The Ravens are the clear, undisputable best team in the league. The top 3 are in their own category, really. Then you have the Bills and the Dolphins 4 and 5 before a pretty good dropoff to the Lions.
Biggest riser: Jaguars, Packers, and Raiders all move up two spots.
Biggest fall: Falcons and Buccaneers both tumble 4 spots.
